Keep the details that matter to your story.
Nytely gives a character context from recent messages, memories you can edit and a running recap of older conversation. These serve different purposes. They help a story continue, but they are not a promise that every past detail will be recalled exactly.

See the plansWhat goes in memories
Save short, stable facts: the name your persona uses, your relationship to the character, a recurring location, or an agreed boundary. “We meet at the café on Sundays” is easier to reuse than a paragraph mixing several unrelated scenes.
What the recap does
As a conversation grows, older messages are summarized into a recap that travels with newer replies. The recap preserves context within the space available to the model. Summarizing can omit or simplify details, so use editable memories for the facts you most want to keep clear.
Correct a mistaken detail
- State the correction plainly in the conversation.
- Open Memories from the chat and remove or update a conflicting fact.
- Keep one current version of the detail, rather than several contradictory entries.
- Check the next reply. If it still misses the point, restate the immediate scene briefly.
An example
Instead of “You forgot everything,” try “We are still at the café, and the book I gave you was a mystery novel.” Save the book detail in memories if it matters to later scenes. This gives the character a specific correction it can use.
Questions, answered
Does Nytely remember every message perfectly?
No. Recent messages, editable memories and a running recap support continuity, but the AI may still miss or misinterpret details.
Can I edit a character’s memories?
Yes. Open Memories in the conversation to review and edit the facts you want it to retain.
